Why can my Refrigerated Centrifuge Model 5417 R, 5804 R, or 5810 R maintain 4°C overnight?
The refrigeration system of Eppendorf Refrigerated Centrifuge Models 5417 R, 5804 R, and 5810 R is designed to shutdown after six hours from the last time of use. This feature conserves energy, minimizes condensation buildup, and prolongs the lifetime of the centrifuge. Although it is not recommended, this feature may be switched off.
