Why can my compile find the routines which I KNOW are in the libraries I am specifying ovn my compile line?

Make sure you have specified the libraries on the compile line after the routine which calls them – e.g. if routines from library a call routines which are in library b, they should appear on the compile line as “-la -lb”, and not as “-lb -la”.
