Why cant my accountant amend the returns?
A. That would not be a second opinion. Most CPA’s and accountants aren’t trained to do what our accounting firm does. Most do not study the numerous tax changes that occur annually. If they missed it once chances are they will miss the same issues or errors again. Our company specializes in amending tax returns. Tax specialists are not the same as an accountant. Although we do not regularly prepare our amendment customers tax returns, it is interesting to know we have several CPAs who do use us to prepare their personal taxes.
