Why can meeting notifications just go away?
The Zimbra calendar is message-based. Rather than having one centralized appointment which all the attendees have a “link” to, each Zimbra appointment attendee gets their own copy of the meeting stored in their own calendar folder. Zimbra sends special .ics emails to each user to invite or modify a meeting. The message must reach the user’s inbox for Zimbra to interpret it and update their copy of the meeting. You can activate the mail filter to move meeting RESPONSES to a separate “Meeting Responses” mail folder, but you must receive meeting INVITATIONS in your inbox.
