Why cant I use my VISA card in the ATM machines?

The ATM machines at Silver Star Mountain Resort accept MasterCard, American Express and the following Debit Cards: Maestro, Cirrus and Interac. Only Charter Bank money machines will accept Visa and unfortunately charter banks will not service money machines up at the Resort. Visa is, however, accepted at all ticket, rental, food, beverage and retail outlets throughout the village.
