The update site link in the 3.0 and 3.0.1 features for Eclipse 3.3 points to the Mylyn for Eclipse 3.4 update site ( bug 244618). An attempt to update will result in an error: “Mylyn Task List (Required) (3.0.1.v20080721-2100-e3x) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.ui (3.4.0.I20070918)”, or later version.” To resolve the error follow these steps: • Open update Help → Software Updates → Find and Install… • Select Search for new features… and Next • Uncheck Mylyn. Add a New Remote Site: • Name: Mylyn for Eclipse 3.3 • URL: http://download.eclipse.org/tools/mylyn/update/e3.3 . Make sure the new site is selected and select Finish to proceed with the update.
