In some cases users may not be able to enter keyboard information when trying to log into a remote Windows NT host. This is caused by a user hitting the Ctrl-Alt-Del keyboard combination on the guest keyboard. This sends a key down sequence to the host. In order to recover keyboard function, press the Ctrl key on the guest’s keyboard and release. Then separately, press the Alt key and release. You should now be able to enter your login information on the host. The proper method for sending a Ctrl-Alt-Del to the host is to select ‘Send Ctrl-Alt-Del to Remote Computer’ in the drop-down menu under the hand icon in the upper left corner of your control window.
