Why cant I stream the media from my home PC to my Wii in the living room?
Below are a set of guidelines and tips that will help you get your media streaming from your home PC using Orb to your game consoles easily. From your Opera browser on your Wii, go to mycast.orb.com and enter your Orb login and password. On your Wii, verify that the Orb Flash Player is selected in the Orb Control Panel. Click on Open Application > Control Panel > General > Streaming Formats Verify that your home PC firewall does not block incoming TCP port 80. You will also need to create incoming and outgoing traffic rules to enable Orb to stream media from your PC to either an Internet-connected device or a device within your Local Area Network (LAN), such as another PC, a laptop, a PDA, or a game console (Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, etc.). Each streaming media player uses different ports for streaming. a. Windows media (WMP, WinAmp, TCPMP, or Flash Player): TCP port 80 b. Real media (RealPlayer): TCP port 554 c. 3GP media (Quicktime or other 3GP player): TCP port 554 and UDP ports 13398
