Why can I seem to persist a new or additional file extension to search for in the Raster tab of the Tools – Options dialog?

After typing in the new extension or the additional extension (with a comma or semicolon separator), you need to click the mouse in another format for the newly added text to be saved. If you hit return, the text will not be saved.
