Why can I run Fragstats under ArcGIS 10?
Several users have reported problems trying to run Fragstats under ArcGIS 10, when it ran fine under ealier versions. The problem is ESRI, who consistently screws all third party programs with every upgrade. Apparently, they think the world revolves around them and give no consideration to campatibility with other programs. Unfortunately, we are not aware of any short-term solution with FRAGSTATS 3.3. However, we are working on a major upgrade of FRAGSTATS (version 4.0), which will solve this and many other issues and introduce many new features. We expect to release version 4.0 by Fall 2011.
