Why can I recycle textiles, household batteries, car batteries and engine oil?

0

The materials are collected in a one compartment vehicle, it is not possible to collect textiles as they will get mixed up with the glass, which will mean the textiles cannot be recycled. If engine oil were to be collected it would spill out and contaminate the load and leak on to the road. Batteries are classified as hazardous waste and needed to be sorted separately. All of these items can be taken to our waste and recycling centres and textiles can also be taken to a charity shop.
