Why can I record a CD to a tape using an optical or coaxial digital cable connection ?
When trying to record an audio source using a digital output going into a receiver/integrated amplifier to an analog component, you will not be able to transfer the signal. The analog component (cassette deck) will not see the digital source (CD, CD-R/CD-RW, MD, etc.), that won’t allow the signal to record on the actual cassette tape. The only way to record from one source to another component is to use only analog stereo RCA audio cables.
