This is the result of a bug in cmdtool, not a problem with PyRAF. For example, if you try to run tcsh in the window, it has the same problem (it appears to ignore the arrow keys.) The fix is to turn off the cmdtool scrollbar by right-clicking in the window and selecting ‘Disable Scrolling’ from the ‘Scrolling’ menu. Or you can use another type of terminal window (e.g., xterm) instead of cmdtool.
