Why can I print my eBill and use the return portion to pay my eBill by mail or at the bank?
It is common for financial institutions and automated payment processing equipment to require a ‘computer-readable’ scan line on the return portion of bills, like those you receive from utilities and other merchants etc. Home and business computer printers are not equipped with the special fonts and inks to reproduce these ‘computer-readable’ characters (known as MICR and OCR coding). For this reason, it is not possible to print and pay your Enbridge eBill by mail or at a bank machine or bank teller.
