Try VLC media player. I have a panasonic lumix camera, and the video files it creates are .mov files. VLC media player or apple quick time can both play these files as for why WMP can’t play these files – .mov files are not a supported codec ‘out of the box’. You could try to download a codec plugin for WMP, but VLC or Quick Time will be your best bet.
