Why cant I just open a window or door for some fresh air?

Although some people think that could work, at todays heating prices you would have to pay some very high bills. The amount of fresh air you get would be minimal compared to having a recovery ventilator that takes out the stale, humid air and replaces it continually with the fresh, dry air.
