Not true, you should be able to install Office XP onto Vista no problem. It would seem that your CD is corrupted in some way. Is it scratched because if this were the problem you can get CD repair kits. Perhaps you can put the CD in, don’t let it do an express instal, but choose custom and try to instal one program at a time. Possibly this way you will get one or two programs on before the message comes up and this could pinpoint where the error lies and then possibly raise the question or perhaps be able to download the corrupt file from Microsoft site itself. By the way some people are saying you can’t run XP. Rubbish you could even run Office 97 if you wanted.
