Why cant I get my grades or grade point average over the telephone from the Office of Records and Registration?
Grades and grade point averages are never released over the telephone or to persons outside the University without the student’s written permission. Student educational records maintained by UALR fall into two general categories: directory information and student records. Directory information is public information and is open to the public. According to FERPA, directory information can never include race, gender, social security number, grades, G.P.A, country or citizenship, and religion.
