why can i get an answer to what actually is in granite cleaners?
I worked for a granite countertop company that bottled granite top cleaners. So I can tell you from first-hand experience that they’re not just water (not that I’ve ever heard of anyway). Most granite cleaners are largely made of water, and will usually have some mild soap added in. Granite tops and their finishes are VERY sensitive to acidity, alkalinity, and some types of soaps. So the cleaners offer the mildest safest formulas to preserve your finish. Additionally, MANY brands also add a liquid sealant to the cleaner. So every time you clean with them, you’re also reinforcing the seal that should have been factory-applied. This is really invaluable to keeping your granite in good shape, as it will help water bead up on the surface and prevent stains from penetrating through to the stone. Why can’t you find this out? I don’t know. Whoever you bought the granite from should be able to give you a straight-forward answer about this. If they can’t, then I wouldn’t suggest returning to th
