Why can’t I deploy OMSA immediately after deploying Altiris Agent?

Altiris Agent needs to communicate back to NS after it is installed. This process can take a few hours depending the network load. Once the communication is established, it can execute Software Delivery Tasks like OMSA deploy. Please see kb.altiris.com #45718 and #1776. Also see item 16.8 in this FAQ.
