Why can I connect with an ethernet trunk port (like on my PIPE peering port)?
In early analysis of the voice interconnection product it became obvious to us that unless filters were installed and physical access ports were limited, then spurious traffic from unrelated sub interfaces on the same physical interface could affect quality. In order to avoid these issues we are stipulating that all interfaces are physical interfaces.
