Why can I buy a Russian language Apple aluminium keyboard (mb167RS/A) in Europe?
I have been trying for months now to buy an Apple aluminium keyboard with dual Russian/English characters. Apple makes an official one, but it is only for sale in Russia & Eastern Europe. I live in Western Europe and my wife is Russian, hence we would like to have a Russian language keyboard. I have contacted Apple Europe as well as the Apple store in my country, as well as resellers. None of them will even attempt to help me get one of these items – they just say not available. In Europe you can choose from about 10 language options for the alu keyboards (French, Dutch, German, Spanish, etc.), so why not just allow the other variants to be ordered here as well (e.g. Russian). And I know I can use the Russian phonetic keyboard setting, but it’s not that same as having the symbols on the keyboard, and some of the characters are not mapped to the phonetic keypad properly (so you need to keep checking the keyboard viewer, use combination keys, etc. – very slow!).
