Why cant I access the online databases from home?
There are two possible reasons why you are unable to view our databases from home: If you are prompted for a User ID and Password after entering your barcode, or you are prompted for a user ID and password, your firewall may be interfering with your access. We are investigating this issue, but you may be able to get around it by disabling your firewall, connecting to the resource, and re-enabling your firewall when you are finished using the resource. If you are using an AOL Internet browser you may have difficulties utilizing our catalog and databases. You can be using an AOL browser even if you are not using AOL as your Internet Service Provider. To check which browser you are using, click on Help on the toolbar so a list appears. The last item on the list should name the browser you are using. If you are using the AOL browser, you will need to install an alternate Internet browser.
