Check the Application Control setting to make sure that Internet Explorer or your current web browser is allowed to access the Internet. This can be done by doing the following: 1. Open the security suite by double clicking the green shield icon located at the bottom right corner of your screen. If you can’t find the icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, open the security suite by clicking on Start>Programs/All Programs. Click on the Charter High-Speed Security Suite® folder and select Open Charter High-Speed Security Suite®. Click on the Internet Shield tab on the left hand side of the window. 2. Click on Advanced to open the Internet Shield advanced window. 3. In this example, the web browser is Internet Explorer. Select Application Control which is located in the far left of the window. Under the Connecting tab, look for the Internet Explorer icon under Application and make sure that it is set to Allow under Access Out. If Internet Explorer is set to Allow under Access Out
