Why can enable secret passwords be assessed reliably in activities?
The issue is that each time an enable secret password is generated, the encrypted string may be different even for the same cleartext password. As a result, when activities are graded, the assessment item for enable secret passwords is incorrect since the two password strings may not be the same even if it is the same password. If you wish to create activities involving passwords, use the enable password command instead, but without issuing the service password-encryption command.
