The closest to “thumbs” that a dog does have is a dew claw http://www.workingdogs.com/doc0019.htm Alas, they are not even close to opposable thumbs. I would hate to think of all the dogs that would run around the cities and towns creating havoc if they DID have opposable thumbs!
