Why can conduction, convection and radiation not occur in space?
Because space means there is nothing there conduction and convection rely on matter to transfer heat. No matter in space. Radiation can occur in space… Light from the sun is Electomagnetic Radiation. Electormagnetic waves do not need matter in fact its easier for the waves to transfer energy through space. Simple enough.?
