Why can claimants sue the government for compensation?

0

Claimants have a personal choice. Section 7 of the act allows a person to claim compensation or sue. Claimants’ cannot do both. Once a claim has be filed in the courts, or an application for compensation has been submitted under the act, claimants cannot change their minds and choose the other option.
