Why can children under the age of 13 use the site?
Firstly the Data Protection rules that state that children aged 12 and under cannot give consent to the processing of their personal data. Doctors do not as a rule, have appointments with children under the age of 13 unless they are with their parents. Therefore we felt that it would not be appropriate to offer the service to people under this age without adult supervision. However, parents can easily set up records for their children and use the service on their behalf.
