The possible causes can be: l The Bypass tunnel and Active tunnel use the same link. l If the main tunnel is configured with the bandwidth while the Bypass tunnel is not or the bandwidth of the Bypass tunnel is smaller than that of the main tunnel, the binding fails. l In addition, the Bypass tunnel provides the main tunnel with FRR protection, including link protection and node protection. The protection can cover only a maximum of one node; otherwise, the binding fails and the following display prompts: Error: CheckBypass path failed as number of Hops Bypassed exceeds threshold.
