Why can some people eat loads and never gain weight, while others only have to look at a cream cake to gain pounds?
Our genes influence shape, weight and where we carry body fat. Of course, exercise (or lack of it), together with what and how much we eat, does have an influence. Slim people seem to eat at regular times and rarely ‘snack’ between meals. They tend to eat healthy, low-fat foods and, because they are carrying less weight, are more active.
