Why can scientist say black holes go to another universe, and with no proof, get away with it.?
Actually, the speed of light limit was a hypothesis for Einstein’s theory of relativity. Before that, it was expected that if you were moving forward with a speed X and you shot something forward with a speed Y, the object being shot out would come out at a total speed of X+Y. However, after radio and trains were invented, someone thought of putting a radio on a train and a receiver on an oncoming train. One train going at speed X; the oncoming train coming at speed Y and radio waves been emitted at speed C. Expected receiving speed = C + X + Y. Except it came out C. It did not matter how fast or slow the trains went. And yes, they were able to measure speed of radio transmissions that easily. Maxwell showed that all electromagnetic waves (radio, light, UV, infrared…) would all travel at the same speed in a vacuum, whatever the speed of the transmitter and receiver.
