Why can Rh+ blood be given “once” to a non-sensitized person who is Rh-?

The person recieving the RH pos. blood has no antibodies built up against the positive blood. The second time, the body will have these antibodies and will attack the positive blood. Most RH neg. women that have a RH positive baby will be given a shot AFTER the child is born to keep any further pregnancies from being attacked by the mother’s blood.
