Why can I only test and use the Premium Service “View” with a Cortado mailbox?
With the Cortado Premium Service “View”, a server module generates so-called Remote Documents from any received e-mail attachment and adds them to the respective e-mail message automatically. Remote Documents are optimized preview documents of especially small data size. This process is currently only available for e-mails that are received via the Cortado Exchange servers, i. e. for messages arriving in a Cortado mailbox. Once an e-mail with an attachment is thus received on a mobile device, the user can then use the much smaller file for viewing the attachment, before downloading the original document or print or fax it. Note: The “View” option is also available when testing or using the Premium Service without a Cortado mailbox. Please keep in mind though, that in this case significantly higher data traffic is caused, because the original attachment will first be downloaded and then uploaded again to generate the Remote Document, i. e. the preview.
