Why can i only right dark poetry?
Well, maybe that’s just your personality. Everybody’s different. I think it is a good thing to write dark poetry (maybe I think that since I’m Goth o.O) It helps express your darker side. I write dark poetry since I enjoy it, and my teachers love it too. I wouldn’t try to write something you can’t think of. And about your mom thinking you’re not normal, I don’t think that’s very good parenting. Just because you write dark poetry doesn’t mean you aren’t normal and depressed. Just write what you write and as long as you and others think you are talented, be happy about it! Do you think you could send me a piece of your work? I would like to see it if that’s okay. Your mom may be right. I was like that when I was young. I wrote very depressing and negative poetry. But, on the plus side, it may help you to work through whatever is bothering you. One thing I found worked for me was to break away from writing from time to time. Then go back and read what you’ve written. Think about those feelings you’ve put down on paper and decide for yourself if you were in a really down place. If you have things eating at you then be sure to talk about those things to someone. Don’t let things fester. See a counselor if you think it would help. Otherwise, write, be happy and this time will pass. Oh! One more thing…make an effort to write pleasant poems, too. Do you have a pet? Write about that. Find something that gives you a little joy and elaborate on that. You’ll find it helps to uplift your moods. Good luck & God bless.
