Why can i only connect to the internet via broadband medic?
one solution might be to re-boot the cable modem you have. what you do is, shutdown the PC, then unplug the power lead that goes to the cable modem, leave this for about 1 minute then plug the lead back in, this will reboot the cable connection wait for all the green lights to stop flickering and you should have four lights on, 1/ power 2/ enet 3/ sync 4/ ready once you have the four lights on the cable modem restart your PC and see if this has made any difference to your connection. the only other time you might not be able to connect to the internet is when the ready light on the cable modem is flashing this means that somewhere in your area the engineers are either upgrading or working on a fault.
