Why can I hear the sound but cant see the picture?
Firstly ensure you have selected the same input that you have used to connect the external equipment to the receiver. For example you will need to select the DVD input on the receiver if you have connected the DVD player to the input labeled DVD on the back of the receiver. If you have connected the video output from your equipment (e.g. DVD player) directly to your TV ensure you have selected the correct AV channel on the TV. If you have connected both audio and video connections directly to the receiver refer to the information below. Yamaha receivers have the ability to up-convert a video signal to a higher picture quality, for example if you have a VCR that uses a composite video connection (red, white and yellow RCA) you have the option of using either the composite, s-video, component (red, blue and green RCA) or HDMI monitor output to route the video signal to your TV. These specifications will differ depending on each model, please refer to your owners manual. Video up-conversi
