Why buy property in Italy?
I did some web research and felt it was an area with great potential in terms of my initial investment; Italy is for me “iconically” chic and the weather especially in Southern Italy is fabulous, not to mention the food and wine and the people are friendly, too! I did an initial superfast (two days) inspection trip having reserved two apartments, but when I got there I was shown a scrubby piece of land almost on the beach and told that there were to be townhouses built a few feet from the sea… I fell in love with the area and the view immediately and reserved the townhouse off plan instead. I don’t know the area well, but have now visited several times.
