Why buy FC Barcelona tickets in advance?
With a 98,000 capacity it’s not often that a match sells out. Even when Real Madrid are visiting there are some tickets available until the last minute. The problem is that good tickets are difficult to get hold of because of the way in which tickets are distributed. First of all come the season ticket holders and ticket agencies. Then come the club members – there are far more than seats in the Nou Camp – and lastly comes the general public. Theoretically anyone can buy tickets for FC Barcelona 2 weeks before a match. The problem is by that stage there are few that are any good and if you’re in a group of people you won’t be sitting anywhere close to each other. A recent example was FC Barcelona-RCD Espanyol; although there were 90,000 people there it was impossible to get good tickets. What happened to the other 8,000? I have no idea because they certainly weren’t for sale. The answer is to go to the agencies. They have allocated tickets for every match although quite expensive.
