Why Bush is regretting War on Iraq So lately?
Because he knows that history will remember him as the President who got the US involved in a highly unnecessary war that weakened the US, was an utter waste of money and personnel, and the negative effect it had on the families of the thousands of service members who died in a BS conflict, not to mention the tens of thousands of previously healthy US service members who are now disabled as a result of their wounds. That doesn’t count the psychological wounds and trauma on those service members and the effect it has on their friends and families. Besides the negative effects it had on US operations in the legit conflict going on in Afghanistan, which would have been over by now if the Bush Jr administration hadn’t gotten involved in Iraq. What’s even worse is that Bush Sr. specifically said in his autobiography the reason he didn’t take Saddam out during Gulf War I, which was it would destabilize the region and bog the US down in a long, drawn-out conflict.
