Why build a new Brampton Transit facility? Is it a type of bus terminal?
The City s intention for years has been to build a new transit facility to support the rapidly-growing service provided by Brampton Transit. The primary function of this new facility is to house buses, and it will also contain a full-service maintenance garage and an expanded customer call centre. The new Brampton Transit Sandalwood Facility is not a public transit terminal where buses come and go with regular frequency, but is a site where buses will leave and return at scheduled intervals during the day and evening. Transit Headquarters located at 185 Clark Blvd. will remain the central operational facility for Brampton.
