Why become a tennis coach?

0

Tennis coaching in England is organised by the LTA. The first step to becoming a coach is to do a ‘Level 1 Coaching Assistant’ award. These are held all around the country, and are organised by county associations. This course teaches the basics that you will need to build upon if you decide to continue your coaching education. If you have completed your ‘level 1’, there is a clear pathway of awards to progress onto. This is as follows: Level 1 Coaching Assistant ↓ Level 2 Coaching Assistant ↓ Coach Qualification ↓ Senior Performance Coach Qualification / Senior Club Coach Qualification If you want to coach tennis at the highest level then progression along the pathway is essential. For more information about beginning your journey along this pathway, please contact your relevant county association. A full list of which can be found here.
