Why Bear Creek Bullets?

I shot regular hard cast lead bullets for years. They are inexpensive, work great at target velocities, not as hard on barrels as jacketed bullets, and reduce the risk of ricochets on steel. They are not without their trade offs, however. Especially with faster burning powders such as Hodgdon Titegroup, lead can vaporize in the barrel, creating smoke. If not properly sized for your bore and/or pushed too fast, lead bullets can also result in leading that is difficult and time consuming to remove. Another annoying feature about hard cast lead bullets is the lube that they use. It gets on your hand, shaves off on your brass, and gets stuck in your dies. Bear Creek Bullets are the solution to all of these problems. They can be driven at magnum pistol velocities without leading. You may even see a minor increase in velocity from the moly coating, allowing you to use a lower powder charge and still make power factor with less recoil. One problem you won’t have is the mess on your hands from
