Why be a Christian singer instead of having a secular career?
There are so many reasons both good and bad in being a Christian singer. First of all, in order to be a Christian singer you must be called by God to achieve this dream. He must lay it on your heart. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a secular career as long as that is the place that God wants you and you are honoring Him with that job. We all have our own goals and try to figure out the plans to reach those goals, but it is God who opens the doors and brings us the opportunities we have to serve Him and bring others to Him. He is the ultimate Author of our lives and being a Christian singer is a tough responsibility but it has many benefits such as leading others to Christ and encouraging lives.
