Why Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease?
Over three million Australians suffer from arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions. Arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions are serious and debilitating diseases. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis are the most prevalent forms of musculoskeletal disease within Australia and have been found to place the highest burden on the community. Their inclusion as a National Health Priority Area represents the Australian Government’s commitment to ensuring a better quality of life for suffers and their families. (Source: NHPA website).
