Why aren’t we using recycled water instead of drinking water for industry/agriculture/open spaces?
We are using recycled water instead of drinking water for industry/agriculture/open space. In Victoria recycled water is mostly only used by non-residential customers. This includes golf courses, wineries, schools, nurseries, turf growers, farms and a major construction project in Melbourne’s southeast. There are a number of new residential developments around Victoria that are using or progressing toward the use of recycled water for watering the gardens, washing cars and flushing toilets.
