Why aren there more flashing signs which tell motorists when they are exceeding the speed limit?
Unfortunately, the new flashing signs are a very expensive commodity, so therefore have been careful targeted at problem areas. The signs are used to re-enforce the posted speed limits to drivers. Much work is presently being done to encourage drivers to stay within these limits so that as a community we can bring about a reduction in the toll of casualties on our roads resulting from excess and inappropriate speeds.
