WHY ARENT THE POINTS POSTED ON MONDAY MORNING RIGHT AFTER THE TOURNAMENT IS OVER?
All the paperwork and pictures from the tournaments are sent over-night back to the SKA office on Monday by our field directors. This information doesn’t arrive until late Tuesday morning. The membership director goes right to work. First, all new or renewal membership applications must be entered into the database. Keep in mind that you can join or renew your membership during registration hours before any event. You can’t give points to a team that is not SKA registered. Next all the points are inputted, providing we have the printout from the tournament, but that problem is not a serious one. Next, because a requirement for the SKA National Championship is each crew member must have fished two events, every name on the SKA registration form must be entered into the computer. There could be two to three hundred names to check off, and some of the events are much larger. Next, there could be two, three, or even four events on any given weekend, adding to the workload.
