Defcon is a game inspired by the military simulation ‘Global Thermonuclear War’ from the film ‘Wargames’. It was decided to use curved flight paths not only to keep Defcon slightly more reminiscent of ‘Global Thermonuclear War’ but also because the arcs look cool.
