Why aren’t the Fireworks held on the 4th of July?

0

Our fireworks are held in conjunction with the Lakeview Fundays in the Park Festival. This festival, and specifically the Fireworks, draw large crowds to Washington Park. The 4th of July is already a large draw due to its status as a National Holiday and it presents a parking problem for those wanting to view the Fireworks. In addition, most surrounding communities host their Fireworks on the 4th so this gives other communities a chance to enjoy ours as well. For additional information on Lakeview Fundays, click here.
